The Red Haven Motel was built in 1949, the same year as the present owner Richard Thatcher
was born! Both are undergoing renovations. The Red Haven Motel is a small independent " Mom
and Pop " Motel. Our Motel offers a great value for your dollar. We provide free wireless Internet
service and if you didn't bring your laptop, you may come in and use the computer in the office.
As a 34 year resident of Truth or Consequences, Richard has a wealth of information about the
surrounding area. Our manager, Randy, is always Handy with his blues guitar!!!

Hot Mineral Spring Baths have been bringing people to the Truth or Consequences area for
many years. The baths are open year around and many claim the minerals have a healing
quality to them.
Elephant Butte Lake and State Park is only 5 short miles away and is New Mexico's largest
water recreation area. People come from all over to fish, boat, water ski, jet ski and just enjoy the
great hiking the area has to offer. The elevation and mild climate is an additional draw to the
area.
